Peuteropvang De Pijlstaart

Peuteropvang De Pijlstaart is located within primary school De Pijlstaart at Amsterdamsestraatweg 1 in Utrecht. As part of Kind&co ludens, we provide toddler care with pre-school education (VE) for children aged 2 to 4. Our facility has twelve places and uses a horizontal group structure, where children are grouped by age. We focus on language development and school readiness. Children with a VE indication receive extra support in Dutch language skills: speaking, listening and learning new words. We work closely with primary school De Pijlstaart to ensure a smooth transition to group 1. The language method we use is seamlessly continued in group 1 after the toddler period. Our pedagogical approach is designed to make every child feel comfortable and enjoy learning. We provide a rich environment with areas such as a play kitchen, construction corner and reading nook. We sing, do crafts and read aloud. Parents are welcome to stay for a chat on the sofa or to do a puzzle together with their child. Peuteropvang De Pijlstaart is open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 08:15 to 13:35. We believe in play and learning in a familiar and stimulating environment. Our starting point is ‘fun for your child’.
