Peuteropvang De Hobbit

Peutergroep De Hobbit is part of Kind & Co Ludens and is located at Notengaard 17-19 in Wijk bij Duurstede, situated in the green and safe grounds of Brede School Noorderwaard. We provide toddler care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our bright, spacious group room is divided into themed play corners stocked with age-appropriate materials such as puzzles, construction toys, fine-motor games and natural clay. Every morning we use the gymnasium of primary school De Werkschuit for movement activities tailored to the developmental stage of toddlers. We follow the Uk & Puk curriculum and are recognised as a VE (pre-school education) toddler group. This means we systematically focus on language, numeracy and social skills through play. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children in small groups, allowing each child to develop at his or her own pace. Cooking and baking are regular activities in our large kitchen; they stimulate fine motor skills while playfully introducing mathematical and language concepts. The outdoor area is shared with day-care centre ’t Bikkeltje. The garden features a cycling track, sandpit, climbing frame, playhouse and a shed full of outdoor toys. We love exploring nature and regularly take short trips to the nearby children’s farm, castle park and windmill. Parents are actively involved in themed events and reading sessions, ensuring a smooth transition between home and care. In short, at Peutergroep De Hobbit toddlers are given every opportunity to play, learn and grow in a safe, familiar environment that seamlessly connects to the primary school they will eventually attend.
