Peutergroep De Dukendonck

Peutergroep De Dukendonck is a daycare centre for toddlers aged 2-4, located in a cosy annexe of the De Dukendonck community school at Tolhuis 4450, Nijmegen. We provide care Monday to Friday from 8:45-11:45 and on Monday and Friday afternoons from 12:30-15:30 (Friday afternoon is “Taalwijs”). Our two group rooms – the Acrobats and the Clowns – are modern and feature different play corners and a rotating theme corner that links to the topic being followed by De Dukendonck primary school. This close collaboration allows us to organise joint projects such as art exhibitions, ensuring a smooth transition into Year 1-2. Outside, children enjoy our own green, sheltered garden with a gnome forest where they can explore and play under supervision. We use an Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme that stimulates language, numeracy, social-emotional skills and motor development.
