Peutercombi voorschool Montessori Boven 't IJ is located on the ground floor of the Montessori Boven 't IJ school at Kampina 5 in Amsterdam Noord. We provide Montessori-based pre-school care for children aged 2 to 4. Toddlers love to play together, learn new things and explore the world. In our safe, homely environment there is plenty of room for personal initiative and independence. Our caring, qualified staff create a warm atmosphere and offer tailor-made adventures. We work with themes that change every six weeks; activities include singing to expand vocabulary, drawing and crafting to stimulate fine motor skills, and reading to support language development. Children also enjoy daily outdoor play in our garden with play equipment, promoting gross motor development. We believe every child should develop at his or her own pace. Our horizontal groups consist of children of the same age, allowing us to meet the specific needs of toddlers. We cooperate closely with the primary school that shares our building, ensuring a smooth transition to kindergarten.
