Peninna Ster

Peninna Ster is our warm, small-scale daycare center located at Wiebachstraat 34 in Kerkrade. Since June 2023, we have been operating from a beautiful, sustainable 1000 m² location where up to 80 children aged 0 to 4 years find their second home. At Peninna, everything revolves around loving attention and space for individual development. We believe every child is unique and should be allowed to grow and flourish at their own pace. Our pedagogical approach is designed to give children the freedom to discover, create and marvel. We work with fixed, small groups so that each child receives the individual attention they deserve. Our professional childcare staff are ready with a listening ear and guide the children with great warmth and patience. We maintain a clear daily structure that provides peace and regularity, but within that structure there is plenty of room for personal initiative and imaginative play. The children at Peninna are introduced daily to various development-oriented activities. We sing together, dance, paint and experiment with materials. Language development is central to our daily activities, with reading sessions, songs and conversations. The spaces are furnished with natural, sustainable materials that invite play and discovery. We have a beautiful garden where children can play to their heart's content and discover nature. For the littlest ones, we provide all necessary care: bottle feeding, freshly prepared warm meals and healthy snacks. We take food allergies and diets into account. The sleeping rooms are quietly and comfortably furnished, so that each child can find their rest. We work with a digital system in which we keep accurate records, so that parents are always informed about their child's development and well-being. At Peninna, we find it important that parents feel just as at home as their children. We always start with an extensive introduction and tour. During the intake, we discuss your wishes and your child's specific needs in detail. We plan a warm practice moment so that the transition to childcare goes as smoothly as possible. Parents experience our childcare as a safe haven where they can leave their child with peace of mind.
