About this care
AI
BSO Pax is a small-scale after-school care centre located at Elderinkweg 5 in Hengelo, Gelderland. Operating under Stichting Humankind, we provide care for up to 30 children from school years 3 to 8. The centre is open Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 18:30; we are closed on Fridays.
We collect children from nearby primary schools. Younger children are always picked up personally by our pedagogical staff, while older children walk or cycle to the centre. If a school is more than 15–20 minutes away on foot, we arrange transport by car, minibus or taxi when necessary.
In our spacious, homely setting children are free to choose their own activities. A games console is ready for digital play, and a fully equipped kitchen corner invites joint cooking and baking sessions. We also devote plenty of attention to sports and games, both indoors in the play hall and outdoors in the garden. All activities are age-appropriate: younger pupils enjoy quiet play corners and craft opportunities, while older children can take on sporting challenges or creative projects.
We remain open on teacher-training days and study days. The exact dates and programme are announced at the start of the school year, depending on the number of registrations. On such days care may sometimes take place at another nearby Humankind location.
We follow Humankind’s pedagogical policy, which encourages initiative, cooperation and mutual respect. Our permanent team of qualified staff knows every child and creates a safe, familiar environment in which everyone can be themselves.Read more
