BSO Pater Jan Smit in Heerhugowaard provides after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our location at Dreef 12A accommodates up to 88 children and operates from a single building with one professional team that delivers both education and childcare. We take pride in our rich history and give children the space to develop their talents. We offer before- and after-school care from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The service is closed during the week between Christmas and New Year. Our pedagogical staff follow a shared pedagogical policy focused on emotional safety, personal and social competence, and the transmission of norms and values. Sports and physical activity are key pillars of our programme. With ‘Blosse Buitengewoon!’ we run an active programme where children can play outside after school under the professional guidance of Heerhugowaard Sport. In collaboration with Heerhugowaard Sport and De Waardergolf, we also provide swimming lessons during BSO hours, saving parents valuable time. Our BSO operates a dedicated taxi service that safely transports children to and from schools such as Familieschool, Pater Jan Smit School, Atalanta, Paperclip, De Poolster and other local primary schools. After school, children arrive at a familiar place where they can relax, play and discover new things. We are part of Stichting Blosse opvang and are registered in the National Childcare Register under number 169132390. Our location is supervised by the GGD Hollands-Noorden and meets all statutory quality requirements. Together, we make a difference every day by bringing out the best in children.
