Voorschool Pastoor Middelkoop

Welcome to Voorschool Pastoor Middelkoop, located at Meridiaan 154 in Klazienaveen and part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Pastoor Middelkoop. We provide pre-school education (peuteropvang) for children aged 2½ to 4 years in a safe, small-scale setting with a maximum of 16 places. Because we are housed inside the primary school, children naturally become familiar with the school environment, making the transition to group 1 smooth and stress-free. Our permanent pedagogical staff—Miss Angelique, Miss Iris and Miss Robine—guide every child in playful development. We follow the VVE programme Uk en Puk, offering structured activities that stimulate broad development: language, early numeracy, motor skills, social skills and values. Activities are linked to the current school theme, ensuring a continuous learning line. The group room is divided into cosy corners: a reading corner, construction corner, home corner, theme corner and an arts & crafts studio. Each session follows a predictable rhythm of circle time, free play, creative work and shared fruit time. We believe children learn best through play and discovery in a familiar, caring environment. Voorschool Pastoor Middelkoop is open Tuesday to Friday. Before placement we schedule a personal intake to ensure we meet your child’s individual needs.
