BSO Stevenshof Uitblinkers

Welcome to Partou BSO Stevenshof Uitblinkers, located in the De Wereldwijzer primary school building at Antoinette Kleynstraat 6 in Leiden. Our after-school care facility accommodates up to 114 children aged 6 to 9 years. We operate five BSO groups, with children transitioning from BSO Kanjers at around 6.5 years old and staying with us until approximately 9 years old, after which they move on to BSO Uitvliegers. Our facility features multiple classrooms within the school building and access to the school's spacious and challenging playgrounds. Here, children can enjoy outdoor play and participate in sports and games activities. During bad weather, we utilize the school's gymnasium. We also provide before-school care starting at 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM, where we bring children to school. We pick up children from De Wereldwijzer, De Stevenshof, and Anne Frank schools. Our pedagogical staff wait at the school gate and safely escort children to our facility. For safety and visibility, children wear reflective vests. Our activities are tailored to the age and development of the children. We offer arts and crafts in our creative corner, sports and games in the gymnasium and on the school playground, and nature education during outdoor play. We regularly organize excursions to nearby locations such as the Stevenshof library, Stevenshof park, and Ter Wadding forest in Voorschoten. We follow a daily routine that remains largely consistent each day. After school, children are welcomed with fruit, raw vegetables, and crackers. Then, children choose an activity or engage in free play. We use the Partou parent app to keep parents informed about their child's development and to communicate practical matters. Our facility has a separate entrance on the side of the school building. The door is always locked, and parents call the group when picking up their child. We believe it's important for children to feel safe and comfortable with us, which is why we work with fixed pedagogical staff and assign a mentor to each child.
