KDV de Petteflat

Welcome to KDV de Petteflat, located at Groeneweg 68 in the heart of Bergschenhoek. We are a large yet warm and homely daycare centre where children aged 0 to 4 grow up through play in a safe and familiar environment. Our team of permanent pedagogical staff is ready every day to give your child the attention and care he or she deserves. We work with horizontal groups: separate baby groups for the very youngest up to about 2 years old, and toddler groups for children from 2 to 4 years old. Each group has its own regular staff, creating a familiar bond. The spacious group rooms are bright, colourful and invitingly furnished. A central play hall connects the groups and offers extra space for meeting and movement. Our large, green garden is designed as a discovery garden: children can build sandcastles, tap water, look at plants or simply run and play. Music, movement and language are central to our daily programme. We sing together every morning, use simple instruments and listen to different styles of music. Our sports and movement activities are tailored to the child's age: from toddler gym to dancing and outdoor play. For language development, we use pre-school education (VVE) according to the ‘Startblokken’ method. We read aloud, tell stories and stimulate vocabulary through play. Practically everything is arranged. Nappies, food and drinks (including fruit and healthy snacks), sunscreen and ointments are included. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account.
