Welcome to Partou Peuteropvang Zwanebloemlaan 170! Located in the Rieteilanden neighbourhood of Amsterdam-IJburg, our warm and welcoming toddler centre is housed inside the modern Willibrordschool building. Our team is ready every day to give children aged 2 to 4 a powerful start in life. We place each child’s development at the heart of everything we do. Using our six pedagogical building blocks, we help children grow in resilience and self-confidence through play. Language development is a key focus: we sing songs, read stories and hold circle-time conversations where toddlers learn to wait for their turn. Our qualified pedagogical professionals actively involve parents in activities so you can see and share how your child explores the world. The day is filled with varied experiences. Mornings begin with a circle moment, followed by free play in the group room. We then head outside—our green discovery garden offers plenty of space to run, cycle and explore. We paint, craft masks and regularly go on excursions such as visits to the local supermarket or adventures in Artis Zoo. Once a week we make music, practising rhythm and vocabulary. As an official Early Childhood Education (VVE) centre, we prepare toddlers for primary school through play—counting with blocks, storytelling in circle time and much more. Through the Partou app you receive photos and reports so you can share in your child’s day. We use horizontal groups, giving children a calm, structured environment in which to grow.
