Partou KDV Sumatraplantsoen 15

Welcome to our preschool at Sumatraplantsoen 15 in the heart of Amsterdam-Oost! We are located inside the Islamic primary school Al Jawhara, in a quiet, child-friendly neighbourhood with very little car traffic. Our setting offers professional preschool care for children aged 2 to 4 years. With a maximum capacity of 15 children, we work in small, manageable groups so that every child receives the attention they deserve. Our pedagogical professionals guide the children through play in their development. We use pre- and early-school education (VE) so that your toddler can already practise skills that will come in handy later at primary school: from (pre)reading and early numeracy to dressing independently and making friends. In our cosy group room the children craft and build together. Outside they can romp in our spacious, green discovery garden. A typical morning with us starts with a welcome circle, where we talk together about the weekend, holidays or friends. Then there is time for free play and creative activities such as painting and face painting. Around 10:45 we go outside: cycling, building sandcastles or discovering which flowers are in bloom. At 11:30 we make music and practise taking turns. Around 12:00 the children are picked up – tired, satisfied and rich in new experiences. We regularly organise outings to Flevopark, Oosterpark and Artis. Parents can follow their child’s day through our own app. We also provide workshops for parents to help you support your child’s development at home. Our goal: to give your child a powerful start and prepare them optimally for primary school, at their own pace.
