Welcome to Partou Daycare Koninginnelaan 1a, our childcare centre on the edge of Vught, surrounded by woods and heathland. We are located in the modern building ‘Het Kwartier’, which we share with a pre-school playgroup, after-school care and two primary schools. Thanks to this unique spot we can step straight into nature every day: a quick breath of fresh air in the forest, playing on the heath or discovering what the seasons bring. Our group rooms are bright, spacious and each has its own door to the large, playful garden. Here you will find a willow tunnel to creep through, a discovery path full of surprises and plenty of room to run, climb and clamber. Indoors we regularly set up a climbing and clambering course and organise workshops that connect with the children’s world of experience. We believe movement is important, which is why we also use our own gym so we can move and play in every type of weather. We work according to a clear pedagogical policy built around six themes: security, development, interaction, movement, nature & sustainability and art & culture. Play-based learning is central; we follow the children’s interests and offer activities that match their development. Through our partnership with the pre-school playgroup (VE location) we can offer a continuous line from 0 to 4 years, using Early Childhood Education programmes to stimulate language, numeracy and social skills in a playful way. Every day we serve a fresh, hot meal and healthy snacks. Parents receive photos, videos and development reports via our own Partou app, so nothing of the experiences is missed at home. We celebrate an annual spring festival together with parents and children and value the connection between home and childcare.
