Welcome to Partou KDV KC De Optimist, located in the heart of Zeeburgereiland at Faas Wilkesstraat 451 in Amsterdam. As part of Kind Centrum De Optimist, we provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a unique collaboration with primary school Staij. Our location is specially designed to offer children a safe and stimulating environment where they can learn, play, discover, and relax. Our daycare center consists of six group rooms, a sensory room, a large kitchen, and a spacious hall with its own entrance. We have two baby groups (0-2 years), one vertical group (0-4 years), two toddler groups (2-4 years), and one preschool (2-4 years). This provides children with the opportunity to grow and develop at their own pace in a familiar environment. We work with a continuous developmental line, closely collaborating with the primary school teachers. This allows us to optimally guide each child in their development and transition to primary school. We offer an extensive range of activities tailored to the developmental needs of the child. Our activities include music and motor skills activities for the different groups. From a healthy nutrition policy and because we find it important to stimulate the taste development of young children, we offer a warm meal daily in addition to the bread meal. We ensure that children have ample opportunity to learn, play, discover, and relax. Our pedagogical staff follow the development of each child every day and throughout the day. We observe children twice a year on various developmental areas and create a daily rhythm and activity program based on these observations that fits the individual children and the group as a whole. We work with an open-door policy, where children can occasionally participate in activities outside their own group. This is good for their social skills. We have our own outdoor playground where children can run, play, and climb to their heart's content. At Partou KDV KC De Optimist, the development of children is central. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children can develop into independent, social, and curious individuals.
