Kinderopvang Iduna

Welcome to Partou Iduna! Our after-school care is located right in the heart of Amsterdam's lively Pijp district, at Lutmastraat 81. We are housed in a former school building that brings day-care and after-school care together under one roof. From 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM on school days, and from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM during holidays and study days, we welcome up to 140 children aged 4 to 12. As soon as the school bell rings, our pedagogical staff are ready to pick the children up from nearby schools. We collect children from Oscar Carré, 9th Montessori School 'De Scholekster', Lycée Vincent van Gogh and the Third Dalton School Alberdingk Thijm. For safety and visibility the children wear reflective vests. No two days are ever the same with us. Every day we get creative in our art studio, whip up tasty dishes in the children’s cooking café, or run and romp together in the gym. Inside is fun, outside is even better! Younger children play on the safely enclosed playground at the front of our building. Older children head to Henrick de Keijserplein, where football is wildly popular. "One more game?" Our pedagogical team is made up of passionate professionals from very diverse backgrounds with a huge amount of creative talent. Our greatest strength is our exceptionally stable and loyal team, which offers a wide range of activities every day and helps children discover their own interests and talents. For children aged 8 and up we run a special 8-plus programme. They have their own playroom and media space to explore. In addition, there is an art studio where children can craft to their hearts’ content and take sewing lessons. If your child is musical, piano lessons are also available at Iduna. Your child is also warmly welcome during the school holidays! Each holiday we work around a different theme, organising all sorts of activities and projects. Children can take part in both long and short projects, so there is something for everyone. A graffiti workshop or Capoeira? Exploring nature or spending the whole day wandering around Artis? It’s all possible! We also organise various sports activities and there is always plenty of time and space for free play.
