Welcome to Partou After-School Care Elandsstraat 154A! Our BSO is located in a historic former orphanage from 1700, right in the heart of Amsterdam’s lively Jordaan district. Children step into a spacious, green inner garden every day, shaded by centuries-old plane trees and centered around an authentic water pump—perfect for building huts, playing hide-and-seek and letting imagination run wild. Inside, the listed building spreads across several floors with cozy alcoves, staircases and corners that invite free play and creative discovery. In our studio children design masks and paint portraits, while the climbing room offers physical challenges. When the sun shines we head outside: we visit the Ons Genoegen playground, stroll along Elandsgracht or enjoy a picnic in Vondelpark. We also organise trips to children’s theatre, museums and adventure playground Het Woeste Westen. Our professional staff provide a varied programme that includes dance and theatre workshops, judo and beat-box sessions. During school holidays we explore nature with the Partou Nature Bus. We pick up children from the 14th Montessori School; on the short walk back they wear bright safety vests. Parents stay connected through our own app with photos and updates. Guided by our six pedagogical building blocks, we foster resilience and self-confidence every day, preparing children for the future through play.
