Welcome to Partou BSO Pleiadenplantsoen 63, located in two classrooms of De Pleiaden primary school at Pleiadenplantsoen 63 in IJmuiden. We provide professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. Our location has a capacity of 44 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 15 December 2014 under number 110060349. Every school day we pick the children up from school—on foot, by bike or by taxi—and bring them to our familiar BSO rooms. There they find a varied programme of activities: from arts and crafts to cooking, sports and games in our garden or at the adjacent Cruyff Court. We follow a fixed daily rhythm that offers calm and structure. Around 3 p.m. we go outside, after which the children choose whether to join a group activity or do something on their own. A healthy snack and fruit are served in between. During holidays and study days we are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and run themed holiday programmes with fun outings and workshops. Personal contact with parents is important to us; through our parent app we keep you informed of your child’s experiences. Our pedagogical climate is built on six pillars that help children grow in resilience and self-confidence through play.
