Partou BSO Eva Besnyostraat 491 (IKC Laterna Magica)

Welcome to Partou After-School Care Eva Besnyöstraat 491, located in the heart of IJburg and fully integrated into the Integral Child Centre (IKC) Laterna Magica. Our team collects children directly from OBS Laterna Magica, so they can step straight into our familiar spaces without crossing the street. We provide care for up to 270 children aged 4 to 12. Our approach centres on ‘natural learning’: a pedagogical concept in which curiosity is the driving force. Children choose activities that match their interests. In our discovery garden they cuddle rabbits and harvest their own vegetables. They join music and dance workshops, cook, programme, conduct technical experiments, play sports or quietly read in the library. Every activity contributes to their personal development plan. We work with open, interconnected spaces instead of traditional classrooms, allowing children to move freely and collaborate. We regularly take trips to Theo van Gogh Park, sports fields and even Blijburg beach. Our pedagogical professionals guide them using Partou’s six building blocks: safety, development, involvement, cooperation, fun and trust. Parents stay informed through our app, where we share photos and messages about their child’s experiences. Before placement we invite new parents to an information meeting so that our vision and methods are clear. Together we create a vibrant learning community in which every child feels safe, valued and challenged.
