BSO Bengels van de Kroon

Welcome to Partou Bengels van de Kroon, our after-school care located at Kerkstraat 34-36 in the heart of Wilp. We offer children aged 4 to 12 a safe, cosy and challenging place where they can relax after a long school day and experience new adventures. Nature experience is central to everything we do: children discover, experience and play with plants, natural materials, seasons and weather conditions. Our beautiful, green garden is the pride of the location. Here we work together with the children in our own vegetable garden where vegetables, herbs and fruit are grown. The barefoot path invites you to experience nature with all your senses. We spend a lot of time outdoors: running, climbing, playing and moving in the fresh air. Inside we have a chill corner to relax, a home corner for role play and a reading corner with comic books. Children can let their creativity run wild when crafting: together we turn an empty milk carton into a lantern, or we make a colourful painting on canvas. The possibilities are endless. We pick up children from KBS Sint Martinusschool and OBS De Hagewinde. Our pedagogical staff are ready at school closing time with recognisable vests, so that every child can safely come to the after-school care. We work with one fixed base group of a maximum of 22 children, with familiarity and safety being paramount. Each group has its own mentor who is the point of contact for parents. Parents stay involved via the Partou parent app: view photos of the day, read newsletters, request extra care or swap a day. We regularly organise parent evenings and joint activities. Together we ensure that every child feels at home at Bengels van de Kroon.
