Kinderopvang Basisbende Stuurboord

Welcome to Partou Basisbende Stuurboord, our after-school care for children aged 8 to 12 at Oppenheimstraat 2 in Leiden. We are located in the low building next to Kindercentrum Peuterpalet, right in the heart of the Professorenwijk neighbourhood. After school, children can release their energy in a safe and challenging environment. At Stuurboord we work with three fixed base groups: Pirates, Privateers and Buccaneers. Each group has a dedicated pedagogical employee, so children always see a familiar face. We pick up children from Lorentzschool and Sint-Josephschool, which is just around the corner. For safety, children wear a reflective vest during the transfer. Our activities are specifically tailored to the age and development of 8- to 12-year-olds. Think of sporty workshops such as bootcamp and street dance, creative sessions like carpentry and painting, or musical challenges such as drumming. We use the gym with a climbing course and are often outside in Roomburg Park or on the school playgrounds. Every afternoon starts with a joint moment at the table with fresh fruit and drinks, after which children choose which activity to join. During holidays we are open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and organise special holiday programmes. Parents follow the day via the Partou parent app: photos, news and the agenda can all be found there. We work according to the Partou Pedagogy, in which fun, development and a sense of safety are central. Together we make every day an adventure.
