Overhoeks

Welcome to Daycare Overhoeks, located in the heart of the Overhoeks neighborhood at Grasweg 3 in Amsterdam. As part of Tinteltuin, we provide a warm and safe environment for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our focus is on expanding the world of young children through play. We believe in the power of open-ended materials where children can discover, create and learn on their own. Our pedagogical staff provide guidance and support children's development while leaving room for their own initiative and exploration. Our location features a beautiful garden where children can climb, roll around and discover nature. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers have separate groups that match their developmental stage. For children aged 2-4, we also offer preschool education (VVE) for both children with and without VVE indication. This program playfully prepares children for primary school. We provide complete care for the youngest ones: diapers, wipes, formula and care products are included. We also offer healthy snacks and bread meals, taking into account any allergies or dietary requirements. For afternoon naps, we have quiet bedrooms with cribs. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with half-day options available. At Overhoeks, we work with passion on the development of each child. We follow the VVE methodology and offer activities that connect with young children's world of experience. Think of reading aloud, singing, crafting with natural materials and exploring in the garden. We work closely with primary school IKC Overhoeks, ensuring a smooth transition to elementary school.
