Ontdek en Doe Outdoor childcare has been a trusted after-school care facility (BSO) in Zwolle for over fifteen years. We are located on the grounds of scouting group Indaba at Thorbeckelaan 14, a unique site rich in nature and space to play. Outdoor play and sports are at the heart of our programme. We believe in the power of fresh air, sport and play, where children learn to cooperate and discover their own talents. Our team consists of Wilko and Jolanda Damstra. Wilko graduated from CIOS and is a certified outdoor sports instructor and pedagogical employee. Jolanda is an applied psychologist in developmental psychology and orthopedagogy and develops training for parents and children. Together we provide a safe and challenging environment in which children can develop optimally. Children aged 4 to 13 are welcome. An afternoon at Ontdek en Doe is never the same. Outdoors, children can ride skelters, use scooters, play football on the grass field, hide in the bushes or play cops and robbers across the entire grounds. We offer activities that boost self-confidence, such as slacklining, soft-tip archery and social games. In bad weather we make it cosy inside the scouting building with crafts, hut building, pool or board games. We work with familiar faces and involved parents, and organise an annual parent-child activity such as a fox hunt.
