Outdoor-BSO Warande

Outdoor BSO Warande is the sporty after-school care location for children aged 4 to 13 in Tilburg. We are located at HC Tilburg, surrounded by woods and with direct access to hockey pitches and the Warande forest. Our grounds include a large outdoor area with grass, sand, trees and a trampoline where children can run, jump and play every day. Outdoor play is our focus – even when the weather is less than perfect. We use HC Tilburg’s hockey fields daily and head into the forest for activities such as mountain biking, den building, archery tag, softball and capture the flag. In bad weather we move into the covered Dome at HC Tilburg. Our staff combine pedagogical training with a sporting background, including qualified PE teachers, so children learn teamwork and fair play while having fun. We keep things small-scale: a maximum of 40 children split into a lower group (4-7 years) and an upper group (7-13 years), with one pedagogical professional for every 10 to 11 children. We collect children free of charge from more than twenty primary schools in Tilburg, including Bibit, De Blaak, De Bloemaert, De Boemerang, De Petteflet, Hartevelden, Jeanne d’Arc, Klinkers and Wandelbos. We also drop off and pick up children from hockey training during BSO hours. Besides sports, there is plenty of room to relax. In our chill room children can read, play board games or do crafts. Outdoor BSO Warande is part of Xpect013 and is currently housed in the HC Tilburg pavilion (Bredaseweg 447) while our permanent location at Zwartvenseweg 420 is being renovated.
