MKC Anne Frank

Welcome to the After-School Care (BSO) of MKC Anne Frank, located at Forsythiastraat 1 in the heart of Doesburg. We provide care for children aged 4 to 13 in a warm, homely environment that fully aligns with the Montessori vision of our child centre. Our BSO has a maximum of 24 places, allowing us to work on a small scale and provide personal attention. Care takes place in the school building itself, which remains a familiar and safe place for the children after school hours. We work closely with Puck and Co, who organise the after-school care for us. The educational staff of Puck and Co are ready every day to welcome the children after school. We start with a shared moment, where children can tell how their day was and what they need. Then there is room for relaxation, play and development. We offer activities that match the children's interests, such as crafts, outdoor play, games or simply reading in our quiet corner. Our approach is child-centred and identity-forming. We believe that every child develops in their own way and at their own pace. Therefore, we offer a rich, prepared environment in which children can choose what they want to do. We encourage self-reliance and give children space to make choices. At the same time, we provide structure and guidance where needed. We find it important that children feel safe and valued, so that they can develop optimally. During school holidays and study days, we remain open. We then organise extra activities, such as trips to the forest, creative workshops or sporting challenges. We also continue to work with Puck and Co, so that parents can bring their children with peace of mind. Communication with parents goes through the Parro app, with which we maintain daily contact about how the children are doing. Our BSO is an extension of the school day, where we apply the same values and norms as within Montessori education. We see parents as partners and invite them to think along with our offer. Together we create a warm community where children feel at home and can grow into independent, happy world citizens.
