Kindercentrum Toermalijn

We are Happy Faces Daycare Toermalijn, located at Bergkristal 19 in the heart of Duiven. As part of OBS Toermalijn, we provide a warm, homely environment where children aged 0 to 4 can develop safely and securely. Our small-scale childcare operates three groups: a baby group for children aged 0-2, a toddler group for 2-4 years, and a special VVE toddler group. We follow a clear pedagogical policy where the uniqueness of each child is central. Our pedagogical staff create a familiar environment where recognition and structure are important pillars. The group spaces are bright and spacious with plenty of natural light, and each child has access to their own outdoor space. For babies, we have a special ground box that is placed outside, allowing them to safely enjoy the fresh air. Our program includes preschool education (VVE) for children aged 2-4, working with thematic activities and Puk the puppet as a friend and helper. Puk is part of daily life and helps children discover new things in a playful way. We offer various activities such as crafts, singing, reading aloud and movement games, always tailored to the age and developmental stage of the child. Each child's development is carefully tracked through the Pravoo child monitoring system. We work closely with parents through 10-minute conversations, parent evenings with specific themes and a monthly newsletter. We also organize activities such as the National Reading Breakfast and parent participation during festive occasions. Together with OBS Toermalijn, we ensure a continuous learning path and warm transition to group 1.
