BSO de Steven is a small-scale after-school care facility located on the first floor of OBS De Steven at Noorderbolwerk 1 in Franeker. We provide care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is compact and familiar, offering a homely and secure environment. We work with a consistent team of professional childcare staff who complement each other well and ensure continuity and a sense of safety for the children. We believe it is important for children to have space to make their own discoveries and take initiative. Our pedagogical staff are a source of inspiration: they engage, play along, and offer activities tailored to each child’s development. The presence of peers encourages children to learn from one another, support each other, and explore new things together. We regularly organize activities ranging from sports to creative projects, ensuring there is something enjoyable for every child. This includes arts and crafts, outdoor play, and games that match the children's interests. We are flexible in our care and are happy to accommodate the needs of both parents and children. BSO de Steven is part of Kinderopvang Friesland and works closely with OBS De Steven. Children can come directly to the after-school care after classes, ensuring a smooth transition from school to care.
