Octopus

Welcome to BSO Octopus, located within Brede school De Octopus at Schoolpad 6 in the centre of Diemen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend OBS De Octopus. Our BSO uses two bright and cheerful rooms inside the school, plus a theatre corner and a fully equipped gym. Outside, children can enjoy a large paved playground. Our work is guided by the Pedagogisch Hart framework of Kind&co ludens, built on four pillars: feeling good and having fun, growing and discovering, a rich environment, and being together. When children feel safe and happy, they have room to grow. We give them trust and space to be curious and explore the world. Play is our main method: play is discovery and learning. Activities are linked to the themes taught at school. During term time we offer before-school care from 07:30 to 08:30. In school holidays we are open all day from 07:30 to 18:30 and adapt the programme to offer plenty of creative, sporting and relaxing activities. BSO Octopus has capacity for up to 54 children and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 15 August 2021.
