KDV Rutherford Op Stoom

Welcome to KDV Rutherford Op Stoom, located at Rutherfordstraat 4 in Haarlem. Our daycare center is part of Op Stoom, an organization that operates more than 60 locations in Haarlem and the surrounding area. At our center, everything revolves around creating a safe, homey and cozy environment where your child has all the space to play, explore and develop. Our location offers 128 childcare places, making it one of the largest daycare centers in Haarlem. The interior is warm and inviting, so children feel at home right away. We have set up various play corners, such as a construction corner with Kapla where children can build creative structures, and a dress-up corner where they can express themselves in imaginative roles. We believe in letting children 'do it themselves' and encourage them to discover the world on their own. Outside, we have a large natural garden where children can play to their heart's content. There is a sandbox for building and making castles, and a vegetable garden where children with green fingers can grow their own vegetables and herbs. The garden offers plenty of opportunities to climb, clamber and play with natural materials. The environment is safe and challenging, encouraging children to be active. We work with horizontal groups, where children are grouped by age. This creates a calm and organized environment in which each child receives the attention they deserve. Our team of pedagogical staff is ready to guide your child with lots of love and patience in their development. We believe it is important that children feel safe and secure, so they have the space to flourish optimally.
