BSO Zuidwester Op Stoom

Welcome to BSO De Zuidwester, the after-school adventure at Ohmstraat 2 in Haarlem. Our home is literally inside primary school De Zuidwester, so for the children it feels instantly familiar: they step out of class and walk straight through our door. Around the corner lie the Elswout estate and the Hout city park – our free outdoor classrooms. Plenty of space! The schoolyard is huge, the gym is spacious, so there is always room to run, build or simply be alone. For the youngest BSO children we have the Young Child Club; a quiet place where those exciting first steps at after-school care happen in a relaxed way. At Op Stoom we believe that free time is the time to discover who you are. That is why we offer a new six-week course every period: skating, skiing, pony riding, cooking – you name it. This way a child might just discover a brand-new hobby. We work with fixed pedagogical staff who really take time for each child. At drop-off we hear what happened at home, at pick-up we tell which adventures took place. Everything is shared through our parent portal and the Konnect Parent App, so parents can always follow along. BSO De Zuidwester is open on weekdays from the end of school until 6.30 p.m. On study days and during all school holidays we are open from 7.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. We also provide before-school care (VSO) and lunch care (TSO) at De Zuidwester. In short: one place, all the time, endless space to grow.
