PO Bornwater Op Stoom

Welcome to PO Bornwater Op Stoom, our small-scale toddler care located in the heart of Bloemendaal. We are housed in the historic Bornwater School building at Ignatius Bispincklaan 1. With a maximum of 16 places, we offer a warm nest where toddlers aged 2 to 4 feel safe and challenged. Our space is colourful and bright. The toddler studio invites every budding artist to paint, cut, stick and build. We believe in ‘doing it yourself’: children are given every opportunity to discover what they can do on their own. That is why we provide a rich environment with materials that match their curiosity and developmental stage. Outside is just as nice. We play in the spacious schoolyard, take care of our own vegetable garden and observe the bees and ladybirds in the insect hotel. We regularly pop into the kindergarten classes so that the transition to primary school later on feels completely natural. Collaboration with the kindergarteners is central: we share themes, songs and stories. Our activities are varied and always tailored to what the toddlers need. We sing, dance, cook, make music and play movement and nature games. In this way we stimulate language, motor skills, social and creative skills in one continuous adventure. In short, at PO Bornwater Op Stoom toddlers grow up in a familiar, stimulating environment where friendships are formed and school already feels a bit like home.
