Ondersteboven

Ondersteboven Daycare is located at Pijlpuntstraat 1 in Nijmegen and is part of KION, the largest childcare organisation in the region. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years, five days a week from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Early drop-off from 7:00 am is available on request. Our setting is small-scale and homely, so every child quickly feels at home. We work with consistent pedagogical staff who know and approach each child personally. Playing, discovering and developing are central; we offer a secure base in which children can move freely and follow their own pace. Indoors we have different corners and spaces that invite imaginative play, crafts, reading aloud and building. Outside there is an enclosed, green garden with a sandpit, natural play equipment and plenty of room to run, cycle or simply lie in the grass. For the very youngest we have a separate baby room with quiet sleeping corners and soft materials. There is also plenty of attention to sleep rhythms, feeding and the first developmental steps. For toddlers and pre-schoolers we organise playful activities that match their curiosity: singing, dancing, storytelling, exploring the nature garden and creative projects. We work from the idea that children learn by doing and by experiencing. Parental involvement is important to us. Daily we keep a brief report via an app on eating, sleeping and playing, so you can follow along. We schedule regular parent meetings and organise fun moments such as the Sinterklaas celebration, Christmas breakfast and summer picnic.
