Okidoki Orchideehof

Welcome to Okidoki Orchideehof, a small-scale childcare centre located in the Esselande residential area of Wateringen. We provide daycare and toddler care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Following a full renovation in 2024, we now offer a natural outdoor space where children can freely explore and play. Our centre has two groups. The first group is dedicated to our youngest children aged 0-3 years and offers a homely, bright space with quiet sleeping corners. The second group is a combination group that integrates daycare and toddler care for children aged 2-4 years. This group follows the Early Childhood Education (ECE) programme, allowing toddlers to work on language, numeracy and social skills through play. We believe in the importance of shared experiences. Therefore, our children regularly use the large communal play hall for sports and games activities. The groups also embark on discovery trips together in the outdoor area and learn from and with each other. Our pedagogical staff view each child as a unique individual and tailor activities to their interests and developmental level. For parents, the centre is easily accessible and there is always ample parking. We offer flexible childcare days: daycare is available Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM and toddler care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Wednesday until 12:30 PM).
