Okidoki Dresdenweg

Welcome to Okidoki Dresdenweg, our daycare centre located at Dresdenweg 1 in ’s-Gravenzande. We provide care for babies and toddlers aged 0 to 4 in a bright, spacious and sunny setting. The centre houses six adjacent groups: two baby groups (0-2 years), two toddler groups (2-4 years) and two flexible daycare groups (0-4 years). In partnership with OBS de Driekleur we also run a Montessori toddler programme for children aged 3 to 5/6. Our large central hall is the beating heart of the building. All groups meet here regularly for joint play and activities such as puppet theatre, music and yoga. The hall is also a great indoor playground when the weather is poor. Behind the building children enjoy a generous, south-facing outdoor play area where they can climb, run and explore to their heart’s content. The garden is equipped with natural materials and challenging play structures suited to the developmental stage of young children. We follow a horizontal group structure. Babies and toddlers are cared for separately, allowing us to tailor activities, rest periods and care to their specific needs. Each group has its own regular staff who build a warm, secure relationship with your child. We use the parent app Konnect to keep you updated daily with photos, sleep and meal times and fun anecdotes. Our Montessori toddler programme is unique to this location. During school weeks we are open Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Children work according to Maria Montessori’s philosophy: they choose for themselves who to play with, where to play and what to do during play-and-learn sessions. An experienced Montessori teacher and an Okidoki practitioner guide the group. A separate quiet room is available for the youngest three-year-olds who need a rest or a calm place to eat and play. Flexibility is one of our key strengths. In addition to regular daycare we offer flexible care for parents with irregular working hours. You only pay for the hours you actually use (minimum 30 hours per month). Early drop-off from 7.00 – 7.30 a.m. is also possible, so your working day can start on time and worry-free.
