OKC 't Opstapje Driewegen

Welcome to OKC ’t Opstapje Driewegen, a small-scale and homely daycare centre run by Kibeo on the edge of the village of Driewegen. Our facility is housed in a characterful building with a large, green garden where children aged 0 to 4 can play, explore and grow in safety. Everything we do revolves around personal attention and trust. In small groups – a maximum of eight children at a time – every child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace. Our experienced pedagogical staff know every child and every parent; we believe it is important that you feel at home straight away. Together we create a warm ‘home away from home’ where your son or daughter can play, sleep, eat and, above all, have lots of fun. Inside, the space is cosy and clearly laid out with different play corners: a snug reading corner, a construction corner full of Duplo and blocks, a creative table for crafts and drawing, and a quiet sleeping area with cots and cot beds. Large windows let in plenty of light and offer views of the garden, so the indoor and outdoor worlds blend together beautifully. Outside there is a safe, fully enclosed garden with natural play materials, a sandpit, a swing and a slide. Here the children can romp around, make sand pies, move water or simply roll around in the grass. We follow Kibeo’s tried-and-tested concept: learning through play, room for children’s own initiative and lots of attention to nature. Where possible, we bring the outside world inside – think of a discovery box with found leaves, a little animal that comes to visit or a vegetable planter in which we grow leeks or strawberries together. Through the parent portal, our team shares photos and short reports every day, so you can enjoy your child’s adventures at home.
