NSO de Speeltuin, location Assendelftstraat is a warm and safe after-school care facility in the heart of Rotterdam-Kralingen. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Kralingen (SKK), an organization that has been providing childcare with passion and expertise for years at six locations in Rotterdam. Our location at Assendelftstraat 7 is situated in the school building of the Nieuwe Park Rozenburgschool and accommodates up to 48 children in two vertical groups: the 'Little Bear' group for children aged 4 to approximately 9 years and the 'Big Bear' group for older children. We believe that children develop best through play, discovery and learning in a familiar environment. That's why we work with small-scale groups where every child has space to be themselves. Our pedagogical staff are all qualified and ready to guide children in their development. After school, children can unwind from their school day with a cracker or piece of fruit while sharing their school stories with our teachers. Our location features a spacious play hall, a beautiful gymnasium and an adventurous outdoor area where children can play to their heart's content. We utilize the school's facilities, creating a familiar and safe environment. On Wednesdays and Fridays during school weeks, as well as on study days and during school holidays, children from the Assendelftstraat location also play at our main location on Honingerdijk, where they can enjoy the large Kralingen playground. We offer flexible childcare options: parents can choose between a 52-week package (including school holidays) or a 40-week package (excluding school holidays). The standard closing time is 6:15 PM (BASIS package), with the option to extend to 6:30 PM (LATE package). On study days we are open from 8:15 AM to 6:15 PM. We collaborate with Nieuwe Park Rozenburgschool locations Hoflaan and Assendelftstraat for a smooth transition from school to after-school care.
