Welcome to Norlandia childcare, location De Wijboom, situated in Kindcentrum Sterrenboom at Hengmeng 92 in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Since October 2000 we have provided high-quality daycare for children aged 0 to 4. Our centre is embedded in a modern child-centre where education and care blend seamlessly. We operate three horizontal groups: two baby groups, Hummelhof and Hummelbos, for children aged 0 to 2, and the toddler group Peuterwoud for children aged 2 to 4. This structure ensures every child receives care tailored to his or her developmental stage. Our pedagogical staff offer warm attention and professional expertise. All staff in the baby groups have completed specialised baby-training and an experienced baby-specialist is always on duty. In addition, our team is supported by a pedagogical coach who provides training and guidance. Each child also has a fixed mentor who closely monitors wellbeing and development and regularly shares observations with parents. Outdoor play and nature experience play an important role at De Wijboom. We have our own baby garden where the very youngest can safely explore and play. The garden is designed specifically for babies and toddlers, with soft surfaces, shaded areas and natural play materials. We believe it is important for children to connect with nature from an early age and to stimulate their senses. For our toddlers we offer preschool education following the recognised Piramide programme. This programme focuses on language and speech development, social-emotional growth, early numeracy and motor skills. Through play, toddlers are introduced to structures and skills that prepare them well for primary school. We work thematically, using music, books, creative materials and outdoor activities. Parents play a central role in our centre. We communicate via the secure Social Schools app and regularly share photos and messages. Every parent receives a code to install the app. We also organise parent evenings and have an active parent committee that contributes to our policy. We believe open collaboration is essential for the wellbeing of both child and parent. Our centre is open Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., excluding public holidays. We offer flexible childcare options, including half-day care. Everything is designed to give children a safe, familiar place where they can be themselves and grow through play.
