Norlandia Daycare ASH Wassenaar

Welcome to Norlandia Daycare ASH Wassenaar, located within The American School of The Hague's Early Childhood Center at Deijlerweg 153-155. We provide English-language childcare for up to 16 children aged 0-4 years in a safe, home-like environment. Our daycare is open daily from 07:30 to 17:30 on all school days. Everything we do centers on development through play. Our pedagogical staff create a rich play environment with different corners such as a reading corner, construction corner and home corner, tailored to your child's age. We go outside every day in our large garden or the ASH play and discovery garden. Nature is our play-learning laboratory: children feel, smell and discover while using their imagination. We work with fixed groups and familiar faces. Each child has two permanent pedagogical staff members, with at least one always present. For babies, we follow their individual feeding and sleeping schedule in consultation with parents. Toddlers follow a fixed daily routine with room for individual needs: free play, activities, fruit and drinks, outdoor play, lunch, rest time and more play. Our mentor structure ensures personal attention. Each staff member is a mentor for specific children and closely follows their development. We use Konnect, our parent app, for daily communication about food, drinks, sleep and special moments. We organize annual mentor-parent meetings. We provide diapers, wipes and sunscreen. Parents bring formula and any special food. For allergies or dietary needs, we make personal arrangements. When children are ill, we work closely with parents and consult doctors or child health centers when needed. Norlandia Daycare ASH is unique in the Netherlands as Norlandia's only English-language location. We prepare children for the international school environment and follow Norlandia's pedagogical vision with attention to wellbeing, development and a warm, safe foundation.
