Naschoolse opvang de Vrijbuiters

BSO De Vrijbuiters is part of FloreoKids and is located at Sportpark De Bloemerd in the heart of Leiderdorp. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in two age groups: De Rebellen (7–8 years) and De Piraten (9+). Our setting is the clubhouse of Alecto hockey club, giving us direct access to spacious sports fields, a natural playground and our own football pitch. Outdoor play, sports and physical activity are at the heart of De Vrijbuiters. We work from a talent-focused approach: together with the children we discover what they are good at and what they enjoy. By continually offering new and challenging activities, children learn to recognise and develop their own talents, building self-confidence. These talents are recorded in a personal ‘treasure chest’ that each child takes home when they leave. After school, children can choose from a range of activities: sports and games in the gym or on the field, crafts in our creative corner, quiet reading in the reading nook, or brainstorming together in the seating areas. We believe it is important that children can choose and co-decide; participation is one of our core values. We also encourage independence: children are given space to experiment and try things out for themselves, always with a pedagogical professional close by. Children who are members of a nearby sports club may, in consultation with us, attend their training during after-school care. We collect children on foot from the schools in the immediate area. On Fridays we work together with NSO De Schatzoekers, ensuring there is always sufficient space and supervision. Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:30 to 18:30 and Wednesday from 12:00 to 18:30. We are open almost all the time; only on Wednesday afternoons are we closed.
