Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen

Montessori Peutergroep Kralingen is our toddler school for children aged 2 to 4, located in the cosy red-and-white wooden building – the log cabin – on the grounds of Stichting Kinderopvang Kralingen at Honingerdijk. We provide a safe, homely environment where toddlers playfully explore and grow according to Maria Montessori’s educational principles. Our day starts outdoors: children play on the grass with branches, go on discovery trips in “the jungle” or the Arboretum, and afterwards use the specially developed Montessori materials inside. These materials invite independent work and learning. During circle time the children practise listening to each other and learn “to do it myself”. In this way they develop not only language and motor skills, but also concentration, self-confidence and social abilities. The group is small and horizontally structured: all children are between 2 and 4 years old, so activities can be perfectly tailored to the toddler’s world. Our qualified pedagogical staff observe each child closely and offer exactly the guidance needed. There is plenty of room for imagination and creativity; crafts and activities alternate with quiet moments and story time. Thanks to our central location in green Kralingen we regularly make trips to the playground, Arboretum Trompenburg and the Kralingse Plas. This way the children get to know the world around them and experience adventure every morning. Parents can choose half-day or full-day care; flexible contracts are negotiable.
