De Getijden Pieterburen

Welcome to the Montessori toddler group of De Getijden in Pieterburen, located at Frederiksoordweg 26D. We provide a warm and calm environment where toddlers aged 2 to 4 can develop at their own pace. Our pedagogical principle is Maria Montessori’s well-known phrase: “help me to do it myself”. In our cosy and inviting spaces, activities are prepared that match the skills your child needs for the next step in development. We work closely with the Montessori primary school De Getijden, forming the first link in a continuous Montessori learning line. The toddler group has its own board (Stichting Kinderopvang Waddenkind), yet the connection with the school is close. Our teachers create a relaxed and respectful atmosphere in which care for each other and the materials is central. We offer activities in language, arts, culture and nature experience. Every Friday our vegetable garden is active: garden teacher Loë takes the children to our school garden to sow, care for and harvest. Our toddler group is small-scale: we have a maximum of 12 places, so every child receives the attention they deserve. We work with horizontal groups: toddlers are together with peers. Opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. We value parental involvement and invite you to come in for an informal visit. Together we create a wonderful place where your child can grow in a safe and stimulating environment.
