BSO De Petteflet

BSO De Petteflet is located right inside the same building as primary school De Petteflet at Kamerikstraat 19 in Tilburg. For your child this means maximum familiarity: after school they only have to open one door and they are already with us. We are a small-scale after-school care centre with two groups, a lower- and an upper-primary group. Everyone knows each other, helps each other and together we create a homely atmosphere where calm and friendliness are central. We follow the Montessori vision. This means we encourage children to make their own choices and to discover things independently. In our spacious, bright classrooms you will find a cosy sitting area to unwind after school, but also challenging play corners and a creative studio full of colour. Our wooden Montessori materials are ready: rainbow stacking towers, brain-teasing puzzles and shapes that train spatial insight. Children are free to choose whatever sparks their curiosity. We eat healthy food together. Children peel and cut their own fruit or prepare a healthy snack. We sit at the table, share stories and turn it into a shared moment. Sometimes rabbits or guinea pigs come to visit: soft and curious, ready to be stroked and felt. During holidays we run a special programme with fun outings and activities; on those days we are open from 7.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. Older children can sign an outdoor play contract. This gives them the freedom to play independently on a safe part of the school playground, at a safe distance from the group. In this way they grow in responsibility.
