Montessori Kindcentrum Delft

Welcome to Montessori Kindcentrum Delft, located at Jacoba van Beierenlaan 166 in the heart of Delft. Our child center was established from the deep conviction that the Montessori vision on child development should not stop at the school door, but should continue beyond regular school hours. As one integral child center, we provide both education and care under one shared vision, with our multidisciplinary team working together under one final responsibility. Our after-school care (BSO) comprises three specific BSO groups that accommodate 70 children aged 4 to 12 years. We work from the core values of Maria Montessori: children are allowed to make their own choices, work independently and learn from their own motivation. This means that during care time we work from the child, not from a fixed program. Our pedagogical staff create a prepared environment in which children can freely develop and discover their talents. The characteristic building in which we are located is specially designed for Montessori education and surrounded by a large garden with multiple schoolyards. These outdoor spaces form an extension of our learning environment, where children can play, discover and work on their social skills. We believe that the collaboration between parents, school and care is essential for the continuous development of the child. Therefore, we actively work together with parents as equal partners in the development process of each child. Our team consists of enthusiastic pedagogical professionals who all embrace the Montessori philosophy. We speak the same language as the school and maintain consistent behavioral norms, which contributes to the safety and security of the children. During care time, we offer each child the space to develop optimally in a safe and pleasant living environment, with respect, trust and understanding at the center.
