Monkey Moves BSO, Location Schimmelweg is a small-scale after-school care facility in Rijswijk that brings back the joy of healthy movement in nature to children's daily lives. Since June 17, 2024, we have been providing a safe and stimulating environment for up to 19 children aged 4 to 12 at Schimmelweg 202. After a busy and often overstimulating school day, we offer a place where children can relax and unwind. We create an ideal balance where children can follow their own interests, enjoy movement, and appreciate their environment and each other. Romping, rest, and routine are central to our approach. We always go outside to experience nature up close. Risky play and getting wonderfully dirty is more the norm than the exception. We believe that joy in movement is the foundation for overall development. Our unique approach with playful activities inspires children to enjoy movement while developing their motor skills. Health is a top priority at Monkey Moves. We strive for a balanced lifestyle where children get sufficient exercise and can withdraw when they need to. Additionally, we provide as much organic and natural food as possible, creating a healthy nutritional environment. Our BSO is part of Monkey Moves, an organization that has been dedicated to children's joy in movement for over 10 years. We are a social enterprise that aims to make an impact by getting as many children moving as possible with scientifically based programs.
