MKC de Schatkaart

MKC de Schatkaart is a Montessori Child Centre for education, upbringing and childcare. We provide daycare for children aged 0-4 at our location at Srefidensiplein 417 on Centrum Eiland in Amsterdam. Since 2023 we have been located in our new, sustainable building designed entirely according to the Montessori vision. Our daycare spaces are bright, spacious and naturally furnished. We work with horizontal age groups so we can optimally support the developmental needs of babies up to one and a half to two years old and toddlers from two to four years old. Nature is strongly integrated into the building: there is a large indoor tree, a rooftop terrace and each room has an outdoor balcony. This allows children to sleep, play and discover outdoors as well. Our pedagogical staff are trained in the Montessori method. They are coaches, inspirators and guides who connect with each child's needs. We offer a clear, rich and orderly environment where children can freely choose, meet and move. Working with nature is an important starting point in our daily practice. We prepare children for a rapidly changing world and teach them to take responsibility for their own development. MKC de Schatkaart is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 314406013. We meet all legal quality requirements and work together with Stichting Humankind for the organization of our childcare.
