Minoes

Day-care centre Minoes is located at Brittenruststraat 38 in Alphen aan den Rijn and welcomes 44 children from 0 to 4 years old. We are part of Junis Childcare, an organisation with more than 90 locations throughout the region. At Minoes, children are given the space to discover the world in their own way. In our discovery garden and spacious outdoor playground they can play with natural materials, look after plants and enjoy running and climbing. We work with themes that connect to the world of experience of young children: from animals and seasons to traffic and music. Every morning we start with a circle moment in which we sing, read aloud and stimulate language development. We also offer creative activities such as painting, crafting and clay work, always tailored to the age and development of the child. For the very youngest we have quiet bedrooms with cots and cradles; older toddlers can sleep outside in our special outdoor sleeping cabins. We believe it is important that children can choose where they want to rest. Our pedagogical staff carefully observe and follow each child so that we can respond to individual needs. We work according to the VVE programme ‘Startblokken’ to stimulate the development of language, numeracy and social skills. Parents receive daily information about how the day went and we discuss together how we can tailor the care of your child to your wishes. At Minoes, every child feels like a free bird in a safe nest.
