MikMak Sickeszlaan

Welcome to MikMak Sickeszlaan, the after-school care centre in Utrecht where children aged 4 to 12 feel completely at home. Our house is located at Mr. Sickeszlaan 18, right in the Tuindorp neighbourhood. We have room for up to 28 children, which allows us to give each child personal attention. Everything we do revolves around attention, fun and connection. Our regular pedagogical staff are ready for you every afternoon. We start with a real conversation: how was your day at school, what did you experience? Then you choose what you want to do. Would you like to create an artwork with our craft materials? Or would you rather play football with friends on the Lubroveldje? Anything is possible! For children aged 8 and older we have a special programme where you make your own choices while trusted guidance is always close by. We work with healthy, organic food. Together we sometimes prepare a vegetable soup in our kitchen. In between we serve fruit and healthy snacks so you get energy for the rest of the afternoon. Our location feels like a second living room. We have a lovely garden and we are within walking and cycling distance of various primary schools in the area. This way you can come to us independently or by bike from school. We believe in small-scale care and personal attention. Every child is unique and gets the space to be who he or she is at our place.
