Welcome to Montessori Childcare Mickey located at Loweg 43 in Hengelo, a private childcare center where the child truly takes center stage. Since 1993, we have been a trusted name in Hengelo and surrounding areas, providing children between 11 weeks and 4 years with a beautiful foundation for their entire future life. We operate according to the Montessori pedagogy and are officially recognized by the Dutch Montessori Association. Our horizontal groups offer peace and harmony, where every child is truly seen and heard. We maintain a loving and positive approach, respecting the autonomy of the child while stimulating self-reliance. Freedom within clear boundaries is central to our approach. Our prepared environment is carefully arranged with beautiful, sustainable play materials that align with the child's development. We feature a wonderful natural outdoor play area where children can explore and play. Indoors, we create cozy, homely spaces that invite concentration and independent work. We also offer the possibility of outdoor sleeping, where children can rest in complete tranquility. Our professional team consists of experienced pedagogical staff, most of whom have been working with us for over 17 years. Continuity is ensured as staff members work at least 3 days per week in a fixed group. We passed "cum laude" during the visitation by the Dutch Montessori Association, which underlines our quality. We believe in a continuous developmental line and collaborate with Montessori primary schools to provide a seamless transition. Mickey children are immediately recognized by teachers: they are independent, spontaneously tidy up their belongings, easily choose activities, and work with great concentration.
