Meteoor

Daycare centre Meteoor is part of childcare organisation AVEM kinderopvang and is located in the child centre at Oude Litherweg 18A in Oss. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years in one fixed home group called 'De Vinken'. The care takes place in a homely group space arranged according to the Pyramid method, with various play corners such as a reading corner, construction corner, home corner and dressing-up corner. There is a play hall with a theme corner that is regularly adapted to the current theme. We also have our own outdoor space where the children can play. Our daycare centre works intensively with pre-school education. We offer at least 16 hours per week of pre-school education, spread over five mornings of four hours. This means that all children from 2.5 years to 4 years receive 960 hours of pre-school education in one and a half years. To be able to offer this optimally, we deploy an extra tutor several mornings a week who works with small groups of children. Each child's development is followed via the child tracking system Kijk! and there are fixed times for parent meetings. We find parental involvement very important. Every morning we invite parents to play along on the group. With each new theme, parents receive a newsletter with tips and play suggestions for home. Our pedagogical staff are always ready for questions and consultation about your child's development. When transitioning to primary school, we arrange a warm handover, so that your child makes a smooth transition to the next level of education.
