MAM’s Montessori After-School Care is located right inside PCBO Montessori primary school Passe-Partout at Lange Grafte 37 in the Welgelegen district of Apeldoorn. Large windows and a shared central area create a seamless link with the school; when the last bell rings, children step straight into our homely, light-filled space and immediately feel at ease. The rooms are furnished as cosy living areas where children can unwind after a busy school day. A pile of books awaits quiet readers, while the large kitchen table is always set with art supplies, construction kits and board games for those who prefer to create or play together. Our private garden offers a sandbox, cycle track and plenty of grass for climbing, running or simply day-dreaming. We regularly head out further afield by cargo bike or electric minibus for trips to the park, the woods or an interesting spot in town. We follow the Montessori philosophy: children are free to choose, explore and learn at their own pace. Our qualified MAM’s Specialists prepare an environment that invites every child to discover and develop personal talents. Together with the school we form one Integrated Child Centre (IKC); one team, one vision and one continuous developmental line from 4 to 12 years. Short lines, familiar faces and a smooth transition from classroom to after-school care are the result. After school the feeling of ‘being home’ is what matters most. Children decide how they want to spend their afternoon or morning: relax with a book, be active in the garden, join a cooking activity or play a game together. We provide calm and structure, but also challenge and adventure, so every child leaves with a smile and a new story to tell.
