Welcome to MaastuinKids, our small-scale after-school care located at Jachthavenlaan 7 in Schiedam. We provide care for up to 21 children aged 4 to 12 who attend rkbs St. Jozefschool or St. Willibrordus. Our home is situated within the Irado Educational Community Garden building, allowing us to make daily use of the natural playground, vegetable garden and insect hotel. Our pedagogical professionals offer nature-based activities every day: children play outdoors, get their hands in the soil, build dens and discover everything about the nature around them. All this contributes to healthy physical and social-emotional development. We are open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 15:15 to 18:00; extended care until 18:30 is available. During school holidays and study days we are closed; our children are then welcomed at Dok010. We use a digital parent portal to keep parents informed of all activities and location-specific events. We do not use social media; communication about your child goes directly through our pedagogical professionals. Together with the parent committee we create a warm and trusted second home where your child feels safe and challenged.
